Perfect Fool

Once again it didn’t turn out
to be what you thought it would
once again you find yourself
with your head in your hands
you knew you would

Everything you’re running for
is running away from you
everything you’ve ever built up
was torn in two
any dream you’ve ever had
it was just castles made of sand
when the world got in your way

You feel you don’t belong here
you know you don’t fit in
with all your might you’re trying
to be part of it, but lying
by yourself inside you know
you never will

It is so hard
to accept you’re all alone
it is so hard
to crack the world up on your own
inside you feel like drowning
when you keep on acting cool
but I see through you
a perfect fool
